Embarking on a safari is possibly one of the most exciting and exhilarating experiences to experience. More often than not, it’s on many peoples bucket lists, something to tick off, seeing the mighty African Elephant grazing serenely within its family herd, watch prides of lion lounging in the sun or working as a team to bring down an impala, or perhaps spot the elusive leopard playing with her young cub. Many of these are bucket list experiences to tick off. But do you not want to feel like you are making an impact and helping protect some of these endangered animals? Yes, you can pay the park and conservation that goes a long way to help preserve and protect the park and the animals within it, but what if you crave to contribute that little bit more…?

Singita have the answer – of course they, they always do! Don’t be silly now! They are giving their guests a fantastic opportunity and embark on a safari with a purpose. Guests who stay at any Singita property in Tanzania can now participate in a unique conservation expericen and become part of a crucial elephant collaring project.

Having written about the fantastic new and very successful elephant collaring experience, which is ongoing within the Singita Grumeti, the success of the first ever elephant collaring safari experience, Singita are offering guests another opportunity to actively participate in a crucial conservation project at Singita Grumeti. Led by the Executive Director of the Singita Grumeti Fund, Stephen Cunliffe, guests are able to get as close as they can to all of the action, gaining a deeper and more hands-on understanding of the wildlife conservation that goes on in the Grumeti. They will assist the conservation team and its integral partners in collaring six elephants in an effort to mitigate human-wildlife conflict.

The personal participation and financial contribution of guests will have a hugely profound and massive positive impact on the fulfilment of the fund’s ultimate mission to conserve the Serengeti ecosystem for future generations to come.

The overall package includes four nights, five days stay at Singita Serengeti in Tanzania, privately hosted by renowned conservation specialist and Executive Director of the Singita Grumeti Fund, Stephen Cunliffe. A very hands-on involvement in an important elephant collaring conservation project. There are set travel dates – September 24th– 28th2018 with a maximum of 8 guests. Part of the total pay will be deducted and used to fund the portion of the collaring project and assist in supporting human-wildlife conflict mitigation with the establishment of a dedicated unit in the field including 4 x nights full board accommodation at Singita Explore and Serengeti House, with other guests on the experience. Daily game drives, walking safaris and wilderness runs (if you’re up to it!). All meals and drinks (excluding French Champagne). All activities from gym sessions, tennis, archery and wine tastings and to top it all off you will have use of the excellent daily laundry service (in all honesty this should be one of the main reasons to go, your clothes will always be returned as though you have just bought them, they have a brilliant back of house team!).

If you and your family, or friends have a spare few days at the end of September, how about a once in a lifetime experience where you can return feeling you have made a HUGE impact in conservation, having witnessed it first-hand. Find your inner David Attenborough!
