Northern Tanzania boasts several extraordinary areas, which are easily seen in a week or so, with a private driver and luxury 4×4 vehicle. Begin with the soda lake and tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara, before heading into the mesmerizing Ngorongoro Crater with its intimidating escarpments and abundant wildlife, and then relax into life on the rolling grass plains of the Serengeti – it is the ultimate in diverse safaris.
The best time to visit is between December and March, or June and October – and best to always be in a camp which is situated as near as possible to the wildebeest migration, due to all the drama the Great Migration provokes.
The Luxury Safari Company drivers are thoroughly tried and tested before they are approved as guides, as this will make your safari – they are incredibly knowledgeable having lived in the area all their life, and all have guiding qualifications. The vehicles are luxurious and comfortable, always stocked with cold drinks, and are all excellent four wheel drive for off road driving.
