Kariega is family owned and run and is located within 10,000 hectares of pristine Eastern Cape bush. The game viewing here is sensational and the park is home to two rivers – the Kariega and Bushman’s Rivers. There are five luxury lodges here so you’re bound to find something you like. The scenery is also magical, and the spa is pretty spoiling too. Game drives and boat safaris compliment each other perfectly.
Kariega Main Lodge is relaxed and informal and offers 21 luxury lodge chalets integrated into the wilderness.
Ukhozi Lodge is remote and wild and offers 10 luxurious suites each with a private plunge pool, and private viewing deck with stunning views of the valley.
River Lodge also boasts 10 suites which are located on the banks of the Bushman’s River and offer utter peace and tranquillity. This lodge is very peaceful.
Settler’s Drift is just 9 spacious tented suites all with stunning views of the Bushman’s River. It is wildly romantic.
The Homestead is for those wanting exclusive luxury far from the madding crowd, and with seven bedrooms you can have a large family, or a group of friends – it comes complete with a guide and chef.
