Bateleur Camp has sweeping views of the plains and has a private feel as it is nestled into the trees, in the safe haven of a fence to keep wildlife out. The lodge is decorated in old fashioned safari style with large comfortable sofas situated around roaring fires. Bateleur Camp helps to manage the area known as the Mara triangle, famous for its abundant game. Bateleur Camp provides valuable support for the anti poaching team.
Bateleur Camp is also involved with monitoring invasive alien plants, and makes bricks from waste paper and coal dust, as well as providing a community owned vegetable patch which provides fresh salads and vegetables to the lodge.
Bateleur Camp also supports the Kawangware Street Kids and Youth programme with helps children in impoverished areas, developing their skills so they can become employed members of communities
