Lake Niassa is known as this in Mozambique, and as Lake Malawi if you are in Malawi. It is the third largest lake in Africa, and located between Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania. The great lake’s tropical waters are the happy habitat of more species of fish than anywhere else in the world. Crocodiles and hippos also live contentedly in Lake Niassa. This is a very remote, secret jewel of Africa, which is perfect for those wanting a beach experience, as far away from other people as possible, or those just wishing to do something totally different.
