The Bazaruto Archipelago is a smaller group of islands than its northerly cousin (Quirimbas), with only six islands making up this idyllic tropical setting. The area offers unspoiled coral pink beaches and world-class deep sea fishing, fly fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. The Bazaruto Archipelago is a protected National Park, and the islands within it are pristine and undeveloped. These islands are Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Banque, Santa Carolina, and Shell.

The Luxury Safari Company’s favorite lodge in the Bazaruto Archipelago is Azura. The Bazaruto Archipelago is a little further from East Africa than Northern Mozambique, so a day in between your safari and beach options will be required unless you choose to travel to South Africa, which is also a fantastic safari option that we can help with. This beautiful destination is not only renowned for its stunning landscapes and diverse marine life but also for its exclusivity and tranquility. Visitors can enjoy activities such as horseback riding along the beach, guided nature walks, and cultural tours to learn more about the local traditions and way of life. The clear turquoise waters surrounding the islands make it a haven for underwater photography, and dolphin sightings are common throughout the year.
