Sujan Rajmahal Palace
What we love: everything. Sujan Rajmahal Palace Hotel.
This exquisite hotel was built over 250 years ago as a private palace and garden retreat by HH Sawai Jai Singh 11 for his beloved wife, Chandra Kanwar Ranawat ji. In 1958 His Highness Maharajah Sawai Man Singh 11 of Jaipur chose it as his private residence and over the decades the palace has entertained many members of the British Royal Family including The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Refurbished by designer Adil Ahmad, who collaborated closely with the Royal Family of Jaipur, the colours are amazing with vibrant wallpapers and soft furnishings and many personal possessions to make it feel like a Maharajah’s home. The 14 rooms and suites are named after the famous previous guests and are the ultimate in luxury. There is nothing understated about the Rajmahal Palace, but this is why it is the most memorable place to stay in the Pink City. From your greeting by charming pink turban wearing staff to cocktails in the Polo Bar or relaxing by the pool you may never want to leave. The restaurant delivers delicious food and the staff are happy to set up a table in different locations around the grounds.
