Following the huge success of Flying For Heroes 2014, which saw wounded servicemen fly across Northern Kenya on Para Trikes we’ve teamed up with Alex Ledger and his expert team to provide bespoke Para Trike aerial safaris across Kenya. We will tailor make the itinerary for you depending on what you’d like to see. You will be privately guided by the expert servicemen who flew on the Flying For Heroes 2014 tour, and will also experience some of the most pristine and wild areas of this beautiful country.
No previous experience is necessary and you can do as much or as little as you like, to see this country from the air, and feel it against your skin as you fly at the same height as the birds of prey is nothing short of life changing. This is a safari unlike any other which allows you to explore from the air, from horses, on your feet or in luxury 4×4 safari vehicles – here’s an idea of what a Para Trike safari might look like, although we can organise for the Para Trike to be absolutely anywhere you like, so you can ride from any camp or lodge for as many days as you like.
DAY 1
You’ll fly by light aircraft from Nairobi up to Laikipia in Northern Kenya, where you’ll be met by the welcoming faces of your Para Trike team. You’ll then head to Tassia Lodge where you will stay for the next two nights including all meals, all drinks, all walking safaris, all riding safaris and of course all Para Trike flying. You will enjoy sunset flights looking for wildlife below – with especially good elephant viewing.
DAY 2
More of the same action packed magical adventures at Tassia – the kind one can only have with this extraordinary bit of kit.
DAY 3
Today you will enjoy a flight over pristine Laikipia wilderness, whilst your luggage is transferred for you. You will land in the famous Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and will stay for the next two nights at Lewa Safari Camp including all meals, all drinks, all park fees and all game drives. Lewa has big five game viewing.
DAY 4
You can mix and match each day as you please combining walking safaris with game drives, Para Trike flights and riding safaris.
DAY 5
Onwards to another safari destination or to the beach for a well earned rest.
From £6,200 per person not including International Flights from London – the Para Trike & Guides cost £1,000 per day – the above cost is based on each person having their own Para Trike but you may decide you can share it and take it in turns to fly, in which case the price is £500 per person per day. We are very flexible so please just get in touch with your own ideas.
