Savuti & Linyanti
Location: West of Chobe National Park, Northern Botswana
Climate: Hot and rainy from Nov-Mar, dry and cooler from Apr-Oct. Best time to visit the Savuti & Linyanti is in the dry season.
Typical Landscape: Remote grasslands and delta, with huge abundance of wildlife
Linyanti, Selinda and Kwando all make up the Savuti and Linyanti area of Northern Botswana, and are a group of private reserves famous for their plentiful wildlife. Linyanti is well known for is predators, and the diversity of the habitat up here (waterways, marshes, dry riverbeds, mopane and acacia woodlands) all create fantastic wildlife viewing areas.
Savuti is much drier than the lush Linyanti, and offers sightings of huge herds of elephant as the move through the area. These areas should not be missed in addition to an Okavango Delta luxury bespoke safari.
